Bridge Capital – 2nd Annual Art Competition - It is open to
students of all schools, public and private and is also open to 2-D and
3-D artwork. All entries must be the artist’s original?work
(no computer generated or digitally enhanced submissions accepted).
There are two
categories: Open (adult, over 18) and a K-12 competition. The deadline for

San Jose Fiesta Celebration– An annual
celebration of the island’s patron saint, with all night live
entertainment, food & game concessions, carnival rides,
cockfighting, big fish trolling competition, canoe race, and lots of
fun, fun, fun. The event’s highlight is Saturday, with an all-out &
free-for-all dinner banquet, following the queen’s coronation. For more

Annual Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival & Beer
Garden (Every Saturday) – The event will be held at the American Memorial
Park grounds every Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will
feature local and international cuisine sold by participating hotel
& local restaurant outlets. Visitors to the festival can also
experience local and international performers jam the night away.

12th Annual S.O.P.H.I.A. Walk & World
Walking Day – Named after the former First Lady of the Commonwealth
of the Northern Mariana Islands, S.O.P.H.I.A. it means Saipan Outdoor
Physical Health Invigorating Adventure. The walk is held along the
beautiful shores of Saipan’s pathway. Long/short course are available.
Registration is free and walk begins at 7:00 a.m. at the Carolinian Utt

4th Annual Spear-fishing Tournament – The annual
spear-fishing event is brought to you by the Marianas Apnea
Spear-fishing Club. The Marianas Spear-fishing Challenge is an event
that challenges each team to spear certain species and size of fish. The
event is not to prove who the best diver is, but rather to promote the
sport, safety, camaraderie, and conservation. Participants must compete
in pairs and follow the 'one up, one down' rule in which the divers act
as each other's safety diver. Teams are only allowed to win in one
category Top prizes will be awarded to the top team. Category placements

Street Market is held nightly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Thursdays) in
the main tourist district of Garapan, Saipan, within walking distance
of the Hyatt Regency Hotel Saipan, Fiesta Resort & Spa and other
hotels. Over 40 booths offer various culinary fares, as well as
locally-made crafts, imported products and other novelties. Live dances

65th Annual Liberation Day Festival – The
CNMI’s largest community event, the Liberation Day Festival is
organized by a team of volunteers under a non-profit organization. This
year’s celebration marks the 65th anniversary of the day that the Armed
Forces liberated the Northern Mariana Islands. The festival showcases
nightly live-entertainment, queen contests, games, amusement rides, food
booths as part of the celebrations activities. This year’s theme is
"TBA". The annual Liberation Day Festival is scheduled to take place
from June 3 to July 3 and will be held at the Garapan Fishing Base
Complex. The parade would take place in the morning, starting at 10:30
a.m. until it ends. The Parade will promptly start at National Office
Supply and end in front of the reviewing stand (in front of Kristo Rai

30th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival - The Flame Tree Arts Festival is Micronesia’s largest annual arts and culture celebration in the Micronesia. 18th Annual Thomas Picarro "Silver Streak" Memorial Fun Run – Event named after the former DFS Galleria Saipan President. The distance of the run is 4.2 miles, and will begin at the DFS Galleria on Beach Road. From there, the course runs south to the Japanese Tanks at Quarter Master Road and back for the finish at DFS Galleria. The event will start at 6:00 a.m., with check-in between 5:00 a.m. to 5:55 a.m. Cost to participate is $10.00, which includes refreshments and an event t-shirt.
